Diversity Immigrant (DV) Division for the month of April

Section 203 (c) of the INA provides up to 55,000 immigrant visas per fiscal year to allow additional immigration opportunities for persons from countries with low enrollment in the previous five years. NACARA stipulates that starting with DV-99 and, as long as required, up to 5,000 of the 55,000 variation visas allocated annually will be made available for use under the NACARA program. This will reduce the DV-2022 annual limit to about 54,850. DV visas are divided into six geographical regions. No country can get more than seven percent diversity visa in a single year.

 

For April, immigrant numbers in the DV category are available to eligible DV-2022 applicants who are chargeable in all regions / eligible countries as follows. When an assignment cut-off number is shown, a visa is available for applicants with a DV regional lottery rank number below the specified assignment cut-off number:

Immigrant status entitlements in the DV category only last until the end of the financial year (visa) for which the applicant was selected in the lottery. The year of entitlement for all applicants registered for the DV-2022 program will end on September 30, 2022. DV visas cannot be issued to DV-2022 applicants after that date. Similarly, spouses and children who join or follow DV-2022 principles are only entitled to derivative DV status until September 30, 2022. Availability of DV visa cannot be granted till the very end of FY-2022. The numbers may run out before 30 September.
