Position: Fruit or Vegetable Picker

Location: 3016 Hwy 3, Creston, BC, V0B 1G1

Salary: $16.75 hourly for 35 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Work Site Environment:

• Fruit and vegetable combination farming
• Outdoors

Work Setting: Staff accommodation provided

Responsibilities:

• Clean the crops
• Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color, and volume to fetch a high price in the market
• Hand harvest vegetables
• Apply the technique of hoeing between the rows
• Pick row and orchard crops
• Write daily basic progress reports
• Clean work area
• Sort and pack fruits and vegetables
• Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
